Responsibility:
The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the cabinetry and countertop installation meets all specifications and standards.
The Superintendent will coordinate with subcontractors and communicate any necessary changes or issues.
Timing:
The cabinetry and countertop installation checklist should be conducted after the installation is complete
Cabinetry Installation
General Inspection:
Cabinets level and plumb.
Securely fastened to wall.
Proper alignment of units.
Doors and Drawers:
Doors open and close smoothly.
Drawers glide smoothly.
Handles and knobs securely attached.
Shelving and Storage:
Shelves are level and secure.
Adequate storage as per design.
Specialty storage (e.g., lazy Susans, pull-outs) functions properly.
Cabinet Finishing Touches:
Correct cabinet hardware installed.
No visible damage or scratches.
All protective film removed.
Countertops Installation
Material and Fit:
Material matches specification.
Countertops cut accurately for fit.
Edges finished as per design.
Seams and Joints:
Seams are minimal and well-blended.
Joints securely bonded.
Sink and Appliances:
Cutouts accurately made for sink and appliances.
1/2" reveal past sinks.
Sink securely mounted and sealed.
Adequate clearance for appliances.
Correct faucet holes made per faucet specs.
Backsplash:
Backsplash material and color as specified.
Properly aligned and secured.
Caulking neat and without gaps.
Final Inspection
Overall aesthetic and functionality check.
No loose or missing parts.
Work area cleaned and debris removed.
