Next Steps After Receiving Deposit:
- We will begin developing your project schedule.
- Then we will begin with the Preparation of your permit package and as soon as that is done we will send that package over to you for review and confirmation before submittal. Once permits are received...
- I will introduce you to the construction team and they will set up a preconstruction meeting to go over your material selections if it hasn't been picked out at this point already and will begin the ordering process as well as cover your schedule with you
- We will confirm the exact start date once all materials are ordered and onsite.
- Finally, we move into the construction.
A recap of dates and timelines to refer back to: As of the time of contracting and as we discussed the following tentative timelines have been provided:
Estimated Permitting Submittal Date: 1-3 days after receiving the deposit
Estimated Permitting Timeline: +/-
Estimated Construction Start Date: +/-
Estimated Construction Duration: +/-
The following items are typically the biggest items that affect start dates and timelines:
- To provide a fair experience for all clients we work on a first come first serve basis, so a delay in receiving a deposit, can and likely will affect the estimated start dates, the longer the delay, typically the larger the impact it will have on the start date. ACH payment through QuickBooks is recommended to avoid this.
- The time required by the building department for permit review, which unfortunately is a bit out of our control, can affect the timeline as well as the start dates
- Material selection or requirements and the lead times associated with that
- Anything Unexpected during Construction such as weather, Illness, surprise discoveries (dry rot, termites, unknown utilities, etc.) material, vendor or sub-contractor delays, shortages, etc.
We do our absolute best to ensure you have an amazing construction experience. One of the largest parts we have seen give clients that amazing experience is setting the right expectations up front and maintaining transparency and communication from before contract approval until after we are fully wrapped up with construction. Please review the information above and let me know if you have any questions and if there is anything specific you feel would help us provide you with an amazing construction experience.
